Books and Beyond...EduPower at the 34th MIBF

For the 3rd time, EduPower joined the Manila International Book Fair last September 11 to 15, 2013. Now on its 34th year, the MIBF continues to draw book lovers, publishers, and distributors into one distinct venue. At the SMX, fair visitors got a chance to enjoy and discover old and new literary treasures and got introduced to some of the latest in print and digital instructional materials.

The fair opened with a brief ceremony graced by two young and dynamic legislators, Congresswoman Maria Leonor ‘Lenie’ Robredo and Senator Juan Edgardo ‘Sonny’ Angara. With over a hundred exhibitors, thousands wandered the halls of the convention center for 5 fun-filled days.

It is in this event that EduPower introduced its latest educational products. EduPower’s learning materials have gone from books to beyond—the printed book, manipulatives, digital, and online learning tools. Among its latest offerings are the KLP and EDGE. The KLP or Kinder Learning Package is a set of child-friendly manipulatives that help children learn through play. Using each set of manipulatives develop in children their basic skills in language literacy, numeracy, science, and values. These manipulatives were designed to stimulate critical thinking, enhance eye-hand coordination, and refine gross and fine motor skills. Each set comes with a Teacher’s Guide that specifies the skills, strategies, and games to help the teacher effectively use the materials in class.

EduPower’s EDGE is complete online instructional and assessment tool and learning management system in Math, Science, and English. Its learning portal is designed to empower teachers and engage learners. Its digital content and technology solution provides for an effective delivery and management of classroom or online instruction.

It has a pre-created set of English, Math, and Science contents that promote engagement and mastery through interactive tutorials, virtual labs/activities, and numerous practice exercises.

EDGE has an extensive learning management system (LMS) powered by Educo, a leading provider of learning management systems, instructional tools, and interactive content. It has all the tools and resources needed to deliver online courses, track student performances, customize learning and a lot more.
